Q: What is a home page?

A: Your home page is the page that opens first when you open your Internet browser.

Q: What can I use for my home page?

A: You can make any web page your home page in your Internet Explorer browser.

Q: How do I change my home page in Internet Explorer?

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Go to the website that you would like for your home page.

3. Click on the "tools" menu located at the top of Internet Explorer, then click on "Internet Options".

4. Inside "Internet Options", you will be on the "general" tab. Located at the top is Home page. Click the "Use current" button. You should see the address change to the web page you are currently on.

5. Click on "Apply" on the bottom, then click "Ok".

Q: How can I clean items out of my history?

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Click on the "tools" menu located at the top of Internet Explorer, then click on "Internet Options".

3. Inside "Internet Options", you will be on the "general" tab. On the bottom of the page you will see "History," click on the "Clear History" button to clear out your history. This will clear all pages you have been to. It will not, however, clear your "Favorites" list.

4. Click on "OK"

Q: I try to get on the internet, but I get a "Page cannot be displayed" window. Is the service down?

A: The first thing you should check is to see if you can get to other websites. "Page cannot be displayed" could mean that your "home page" is temporarily down. If you are unable to get to other sites, then it could possibly be an issue with the internet connection.
