Spam Mail Categories


·   Possible Spam: These emails have failed some spam tests. They are flagged by the filter because it is not completely sure if it is a legitimate email or not.

·   Spam: These emails have failed multiple spam tests. There is a high likelihood that these are spam emails.

·   ADV: California State Law requires advertisers to put ADV: in the subject line of advertisement emails. This is verified spam email.

*Note: If you ever feel that an email has been incorrectly identified as Spam or Possible Spam, let us know. We will review the email header information, and determine further action.

  

Package Options


Option 1: Only Flag Spam & Possible Spam.

Possible Spam: emails and Spam: emails will be flagged in the subject line of the email. However, you will continue to receive all email as you normally receive mail.


Option 2: Move Spam to “Spam” folder accessible via Imail & Flag Possible Spam.

Possible Spam: emails will be flagged in the subject line of the email. You will still receive these messages as you normally receive email. Spam: mail will be moved into a separate folder, called spam, on the mail server. You will not receive this mail on your computer. You will however be able to view this mail by going to mail.yourdomain.com, and clicking on the spam folder there.


Option 3: Move Spam & Possible Spam to “Spam” folder accessible via Imail.

Possible Spam: emails and Spam: emails will be moved into a separate folder, called spam, on the mail server. You will not receive this mail on your computer. You will, however; be able to view this mail by going to mail.yourdomain.com, and clicking on the spam folder there.

 

*Note: Nothing will be done with ADV: emails. You will need to set up special rules to deal with these emails.

 

*Disclaimer: At no time will any of your emails be deleted at the server level  unless specified by the user.

 

*Caution: If you choose to have your email moved to a spam folder, you will need to log into your IMail account and delete these messages periodically. Failure to do this will lead to a full mailbox. Once your mailbox is full, you will not be able to receive mail until messages are deleted.
